The Kering Foundation, the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence (NAESV) and the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) have joined forces to raise awareness about violence against women among the general public and Kering collaborators
Under the partnership, the three organizations have developed a training program for all 1,200 US-based employees of Kering Corporate and the Group’s luxury Maisons. The program provides teams with correct know-how to intervene should they encounter these situations, in either their personal or professional livfe A particular focus is placed on understanding violence against women; recognizing and breaking down stereotypes; creating a supportive work environment for survivors; and discussing available support services.
This Kering Foundation partnership is the first of its kind in the United States. It has however already completed three training initiatives implemented in France, Italy and UK.
The National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, created in September 1995, is an organization that focuses on public policy and public education to end sexual violence. The Alliance is committed to advocating on behalf of sexual assault victims, and to supporting advocates and service providers working in the anti-sexual violence movement at the local, state and national levels. Most importantly, the NAESV advocates on behalf of the victims/survivors- women, children and men- who have needlessly suffered the serious trauma of sexual violence.
The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), a social change organization, is dedicated to creating a social, political and economic environment in which violence against women no longer exists.
NNEDV offers a range of programs and initiatives to address the complex causes and far-reaching consequences of domestic violence. Through cross-sector collaborations and corporate partnerships, NNEDV offers support to victims of domestic violence who are escaping abusive relationships – and empowers survivors to build new lives.
